Talent referrals for a musical revue show called Stars and Stripes
I would like the opportunity to meet with you to discuss an exciting new project I am working on. As a Barnstable resident and business owner of over 30 years, I have an interest in giving back to the community and school art and music departments. With my professional photography and business experience, I have been inspired to produce a musical stage show with senior citizens, children, and adults, called, “Stars and Stripes Musical Revue.”
“Stars and Stripes” is a new temporary chorus stage show that will be comprised of local amateur talent that will sing the best American Patriotic Songs. Also created, will be portraits and behind the scenes video of the cast's individual personalities, during the making of the show. This is where the audience sees an upbeat and happy attitude of the new older generation, working along with the kids. Today's seniors can enjoy more active lifestyles, and this show will have a powerful message for the community. Maybe you could refer to me, someone in your organization that loves to sing, and would love the opportunity to be in an inspirational show that echoes the pride and love for America. If so, please have them call me now, for a brief audition.
Please call me to arrange a brief meeting to chat about our future working relationship or sponsorship on this project. Stars and Stripes is sure to be a hit! The show is scheduled for about 4 performances in June and July 2010.
Thank You,

Why a Talent Show is a Great Idea
Hosting a talent show at your auditorium or school has many proven effects, such as: builds one's self esteem, celebrates individuality, brings families together, builds character, builds school spirit, unifies the community, provides some educational benefits, motivates children to pursue advanced learning, and of course, raises funds for a worthy cause. This works in conjunction with many organizations' mission statements and philosophies.
Cape Cod Talent Agency Does All the Work!
Our production staff at Cape Cod Talent Agency, does all the major work in making a smooth-running and successful show. We provide all the technical staff, the sound system, stage manager, master of ceremonies, and give you an easy-to-follow format that makes it fun for students and teachers. Our organized plan will make the talent production enjoyable for the performers and audience too. Most of all, we like to make the experience less stressful on the parent advisory board and school administration. Hopefully, you will want to make this an annual event.
How to Present the Talent Show
First, we work as a team. We ask that you do all the promotion and posting of announcements to get the students interested in signing up to perform their act. This is not a competition...they are all winners. A two hour show will have about 15 acts. The acts can be anything from singing, to reading poetry, to dance, to a magic act, musical instrument, art show, group singing—anything they want. We ask the school to provide your auditorium and have some volunteers to promote the show and sell tickets at the door. Suggested ticket prices are $10. for adults and $5. for children. You may even consider having an auction-both live and silent, in the lobby for added revenue. And you should have a bake sale and sell food and refreshments at intermission.
It takes about 6 weeks to plan the show, so please allow the proper time for planning.
